One of the benefits of living so far out is the fact that we are outside of the city limits. That means it is legal for us to buy and use fireworks! This past year was once of the two times a year when we get to take advantage of this fun privilege. Since the boys are so young and fireworks are crazy expensive, we stick mainly to the small ground-dwelling pieces, with the occasional addition of Roman candles and other small aerials to our arsenal. Sparklers have always been a favorite, but that may change after this year. A stray spark flew onto Jack's arm and gave him a little burn. That quickly put an end to his participation and he joined Amy as a spectator. Luckily I was able to get a few good shots before the mini-disaster. All in all we had fun sending out 2010 and ringing in 2011 with a (small) bang! Enjoy!
