1. Habits - Tove Lo. So this one is fairly new. One, I love her name. Two, this song is awesome. It is one that I can play on repeat countless times. It's got. A great beat, hook, chorus, everything. Then it's also a bittersweet song. About loss and what it does to you. But not to get too deep and analytical about it, I just love it. This is also one of those songs that I heard and immediately thought it was going to be big. Then bam, it's everywhere. So yeah, it's like I discovered it. Sort of. Right? Maybe I just got in on the ground floor. Either way, Tove Lo is everywhere and has released subsequent awesome songs. And it all started with this one.
2. Here I Go Again - Whitesnake. Some songs just want to make you rock out and dance on top of a sports car. Well, at least if you're Tawny Kitaen. I mean, how can you not love this song. A classics 80's hair band ballad. It has everything. A great chorus, head banging potential, a great video. As a child of the 80's I had to include this one to honor all of its awesomeness. Again, one I can (and am currently) listen to on repeat endless times. Throw in the fact that the boys will rock out with me and it's golden! I also can't say the words, "Here I go" without finishing out the line from the song. Timeless.
All is well, H down, in Drosche Land.
Hi, I'm visiting for the A to Z challenge. I had to laugh because it took me a bit of scrolling to find a song that I knew on your list :) Seems I've missed a few good songs over the years! Thanks for the list.
ReplyDeleteNot a huge fan of Tove Lo--maybe that ubiquitousness turned me off her, because I remember the first time I heard the song I did like it--but WHITE SNAKE!!! "But I've made up my mind, I ain't wasting no more time. Here I go again..." I get chills. And I get transported to all sorts of magic memories. "Here I go again on my own / Going down the only road I've ever known / Like a drifter I was born to walk alone..." Or something like that :D Now I'm going to be singing that all day long. Maybe all week. THANK YOU!
